Facebook Page WeatherPond is now available.

A Facebook Site called WeatherPond is now open to the public.  Periodic comments about current or future hydrologic conditions will be posted there as time permits.  As always, contact local authorities and the National Weather Service for all official statements and warnings concerning all related weather and hydrologic conditions.

Welcome

This is a new blog is in development.

This blog provides a way for those who live in hydrologically active areas and along rivers who are impacted by water to share their experiences during floods and droughts.  River water levels affect everyday life.   When the river rises, you might need to move low lying understorage, or adjust docks.  Or roads may be closed off affecting travel.  Having a centralized blog that allows you to tell your story will help improve services to protect life and property.

This sort of information is valuable to local authorities and various agencies that provide those services.
